About Me

Hi! I am Anima, a Speech Language Pathologist with 15+ years of experience. I am a mom to an inquisitive pre-teen and wife to a fiercely dedicated & brilliant Software professional. I am also the Founder and Managing Partner of Walnut Early Supports, a web-based therapy materials company.

After completing my professional education, I served as an Assistant Professor in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology at two major Educational institutions in India, where I had the privilege of teaching a range of courses, supervising aspiring clinicians, and guiding research papers and dissertations. In 2015, I relocated to the US, where I focused my practice exclusively on pre-adolescents and adolescents. My specialization lies in the assessment and intervention of language, cognition, reading/writing, and executive function challenges associated with Autism, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities.​​​

Apart from clinical practice, I am deeply involved in SLP mentoring, where I guide and support fellow professionals in refining their skills and expanding their knowledge. I also offer parent coaching, empowering families with tools and strategies to support their child’s communication development. In addition, I love creating innovative therapy materials that are both practical and engaging for clients. I’m passionate about delivering professional development talks and courses, sharing the latest strategies, research, and best practices with other SLPs to help them grow in their careers and provide exceptional care.

I feel incredibly grateful to have crossed paths with the right people at the right moments, allowing me to seize multiple enriching opportunities that have deepened my expertise. I hope to continue this journey moving forward.

When I’m not practicing as an SLP, I’m an avid reader and an ardent Sonu Nigam fan. I also love to spend my leisure time experimenting with new dishes, pencil sketching, and, playing Scrabble & badminton.
